On 28 November, our KS2 and KS3 learners at The Stable School took part in a rewarding pine pulling conservation activity, continuing a tradition that has become a regular part of our school calendar.
The activity gave learners the chance to work together to remove invasive pine trees, helping to maintain local green spaces and protect native habitats. Alongside the practical work, the session promoted community awareness, environmental stewardship, and teamwork, giving learners the opportunity to make a tangible difference in their local area.
Denise Carpenter, Principal of The Stable School, said:
“It’s wonderful to see our learners engage so enthusiastically in conservation work. Activities like pine pulling not only support the environment but also teach important lessons about teamwork, responsibility, and caring for the community. We are incredibly proud of all our learners who took part.”
A big thank you to everyone involved in making the activity a meaningful and enjoyable experience for our learners.
