On Thursday 5th March 2026, learners at The Stable School celebrated World Book Day with a variety of fun and engaging activities designed to promote a love of reading and storytelling.
Throughout the day, learners explored a wide range of books, participated in group reading sessions, and shared their favourite stories with classmates. Many came dressed as their favourite literary characters, adding a creative and colourful touch to the celebrations. Activities included story-based games, creative writing tasks, and opportunities for learners to discuss the themes and characters that inspired them.
Denise Carpenter, Principal of The Stable School, said:
“It was wonderful to see our learners so enthusiastic and engaged in celebrating World Book Day. Sharing stories, dressing up as favourite characters, and exploring new books helps nurture their imagination and develops a lifelong love of reading. Our learners’ creativity and excitement truly made the day special.”
The day was a fantastic reminder of the importance of literacy and storytelling in learners’ development, and it highlighted The Stable School’s commitment to making reading a fun and accessible part of everyday learning.
