The Stable School is proud to announce that it has officially become a Twinkl Phonics Trained School, marking an important step forward in strengthening its literacy provision for learners with Special Educational Needs.
This achievement reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, tailored education that meets the diverse needs of its learners. Through the Twinkl Phonics training, staff have further developed their knowledge and confidence in delivering structured, engaging phonics teaching, designed to support early reading and communication skills.
The training equips practitioners with a consistent, multi-sensory approach to phonics, enabling learners to access reading in a way that is supportive, adaptable and aligned with their individual learning journeys. This is particularly valuable within a SEN setting, where personalised strategies are key to success.
Denise Carpenter, Principal at The Stable School, welcomed the milestone:
“Becoming a Twinkl Phonics Trained School is a fantastic achievement for our team. At The Stable School, we are always striving to ensure our learners receive the very best support, and this training enhances our ability to deliver phonics in a way that is engaging, accessible and meaningful for every child. We are excited to see the positive impact this will have on our learners’ confidence and progress in reading.”
The Stable School continues to place a strong emphasis on communication, literacy and life skills, ensuring that all learners are supported to reach their full potential. This latest development is another example of the school’s dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in SEN education.
