Learners in Years 6 to 9 at The Stable School enjoyed an inspiring educational visit to Winchester Science Centre on 2nd July, where they immersed themselves in a day of scientific discovery and hands-on learning.
During the visit, learners had the opportunity to experience an engaging planetarium show, taking them on an incredible journey through space while expanding their understanding of the universe. They also participated in an interactive science workshop, where they explored scientific concepts through practical activities designed to spark curiosity and encourage investigation.
The trip provided learners with the opportunity to bring their classroom learning to life, developing their scientific knowledge while building confidence, asking questions and engaging with exciting real-world experiences. Throughout the day, learners demonstrated enthusiasm, curiosity and exemplary behaviour, making the most of every opportunity to learn.
School Principal, Denise Carpenter, said:
“Educational visits such as this provide invaluable opportunities for our learners to experience learning in new and exciting ways. The visit to Winchester Science Centre encouraged curiosity, inspired scientific thinking and allowed our learners to engage with science through interactive experiences that simply cannot be replicated in the classroom. We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm and maturity shown by our learners throughout the day, and we hope the experience has inspired many future scientists and explorers.”
The Stable School is committed to providing enriching experiences that broaden learners’ horizons, inspire a love of learning and support personal development beyond the classroom.
